Who Am I?
I am Pawan Gamage, Software Engineer by profession and a nature enthusiast round-the-clock.
One of my most favourite hobbies is to explore spectacular bird and animal species living among us.
As a hobby and as an excuse to escape the stressful city life, every Saturday morning, I visit different parks, bird hides and water banks to explore nature and capture the behaviours of birds. I am fascinated by the beauty of the wildlife and the satisfaction I get by exploring them. I wanted to share my experiences with other fellow bird lovers. Hence, I combined my occupation and hobby together to build a virtual bird map.
This map contains all the birds I have spotted with brief descriptions about them. My aim is to provide a virtual map for my fellow nature lovers to explore and spot these beauties in the wild.
I have thus far enjoyerd this hobby immensely and will continue to fill in my virtual bird map. I aim to establish a birdlife enthusiasts group so that other such bird lovers can also contribute to the map. I hope that you gain some knowledge and satisfaction by checking out this map also look forward to spot more wonderful birds that are living right among us!
